About

I am a visual researcher with an M.A. in European Studies, focusing on stickers, urban surfaces, and grassroots movements. Originally from Germany, I am now based in Melbourne, Australia.
For my master’s thesis, I researched political communication through the visual medium stickers. This practice has profoundly shaped my understanding of public communication, discursive power, and public space itself. Emerging from my past and ongoing research, this website is intended to spark curiosity and encourage exploration of the political dimensions of the very real (urban) surfaces we interact with every day. Additionally, this space functions as a publicly accessible, visual archive of stickers. Alongside the archive, my blog features essays and thought pieces on stickers and related topics such as graffiti and street art, the process of creating stickers from design to distribution, and in-depth discussions of individual stickers, sticker cultures, and emerging trends. Currently, I am putting a different genre of stickers in the spotlight every tuesday.
Feel free to follow my substack to stay up to date. If you come across a sticker you would like to share, please do not hesitate to message me. I would be delighted to add it to the collection.
